This draft scope and sequence of learning experiences was designed for St Therese’s Catholic School , Monto by the APRE, Kathleen Watt. She based it on Nano Nagle and the Presentation Sisters.
St Therese’s is situated in the semi-isolated rural community of Monto. The school caters for students from preschool to year seven, arranged into 4 levels in multiage situations. The school exists because of the parish community’s desire for Catholic Education for its students. The school community endeavours to make a large, continuing contribution to the life of the parish and to the civic community.
Kathleen organised the draft scope and sequence of learning activities into 4 stages – P/1, 2/3, 4/5, 6/7. It looks at focus questions and assessment topics, as well as ways of teaching and then the most important, links to the Religion Curriculum.
